1. Many Jobs
Despite working at the nuclear power plant, Homer has had 187 other jobs over the course of the show.
2. Star Power
When Michael Jackson guest starred in an episode of the Simpsons, he wouldn’t allow the show to use his name at all, so they credited him as “John Jay Smith.”
The writers of The Simpsons sent flowers to the writers of South Park soon after South Park parodied Family Guy in an episode of the show!
4. One But Not Both
Smithers was originally drawn as African-American. But, the writers that having a character that was black and gay was too much for the show!
Bart’s locker combination is 36-24-26, which are the numbers from AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”.
One of Cletus’s children is actually named after Crystal Meth.

Sideshow Bob is voiced by Kelsey Grammer who is also known as Frasier.
Sideshow Bob’s brother is voiced by David Hyde Pierce, who also plays Frasier’s brother.
So, it only made sense that they had Sideshow Bob’s father voiced by the same guy who voiced Frasier’s dad!
Matt Groening’s real-life parents are actually named Homer and Marge, and his sisters are named Maggie and Lisa.
