Pokemon Go: Entei, Suicune & Raikou Final Locations

The trio of legendary Pokemon from the Johto region – Raikou, Entei and Suicune – all entered Pokemon Go in August. Raikou was available in the Americas, Entei in Europe and Africa while Suicune was available in the Asia-Pacific region. The trio has switched locations once before this and now they are making a final rotation. Today, the legendary Pokemon are switching locations which gives another set of players a new opportunity to catch these legendary Pokemon.

The three Pokemon will join the Raid Battles located at Gyms around the world. On top of this news, the EX Raid Battle feature will begin a field-test program in select areas before becoming available to everyone worldwide.

Like the legendary Pokemon before them, Raikou, Entei and Suicune will all be available for just a limited time so you’ll have to act fast if you want to grab them. These Pokemon won’t be the easiest to catch and will likely require some strong counters and a concentrated effort to take down these rare Pokemon. Luckily, we put together a tips post that will help you with these battles. Remember, these legendary beasts can only be caught with a Premiere Ball.

In the Americas we have Suicune, as confirmed by Twitter, but it doesn’t look like the other locations have been confirmed 100 percent as of yet. Presumably, Raikou will go to Europe while Entei will be available in Asia. Again, we don’t have complete confirmation but that is what we’re likely looking at. We’ll keep an eye for what players are reporting in their area. We do have reports of Suicune appearing in the Americas already. The other Pokemon Go Twitter pages have been silent as far as confirming the rotations.

October 31:

  • Entei, a Fire-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Asia-Pacific region. (not yet confirmed)
  • Suicune, a Water-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Americas.
  • Raikou, an Electric-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout Europe and Africa. (not yet confirmed)

This final rotation takes place during the Halloween event which features increased drop rates for many spooky Pokemon. Users have have the opportunity to obtain double their Candy rewards. Any time you hatch, catch, or transfer a pocket monster in Pokemon Go you will receive extra candy. Additionally, your Buddy Pokemon will find additional Candy when you are out roaming the wilds. This event runs until November 2.
