POKEMON GO news this week includes the latest Field Research breakthrough, the new Kanto event, and the new Raids.


Niantic have released a number of new updates over the few weeks that have changed the game quite a bit.

One of those new additions is the Field Research, which has been providing players the chance to catch a certain Legendary Pokemon.

As many will already know, Field Research tasks are snapped up by spinning the Photo Disc at nearby PokéStops.

You can collect one Field Research task per PokéStop per day, giving you a list of new tasks to complete.

You also earn Stamps by doing this which unlock Research Breakthroughs, and it just so happens that the latest reward for doing so has been revealed.

Achieving the second week Research Breakthrough provides a special reward, which is very much like the one players found last week.

And encounter with Moltres is what you get, which means things haven’t changed when it comes to the big Research rewards.

It makes sense that Niantic would give players a second shot at grabbing the Pokemon if they missed out the first time.

It should also be noted that the Moltres you can catch is level 15, so still a tad limited for those hoping to use in their Raid squad.

And for those who are planning to do a lot of Raid battles, the new celebration also has some top sales going on.

Snorlax and Aerodactyl are the new Gym bosses during the new Kanto event, which is running until April 17.

That gives players plenty of time to add them to their collections, but you might needs a few Raid Passes to do it.

And while we already know about the new Raids and Double Candy opportunities, there’s also a new box sales going on right now.

As usual, players can head over to the Pokemon Go Store and purchase a box filled with items to help them during the event.

And having gone live a few hours ago, Trainers have now been able to take a good look at what’s provided.
