MEGHAN MARKLE and Kate Middleton are both married to British princes. The 36-year-old duchesses have had their official job titles revealed by the Royal Family. What are their roles?
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are now members of the British Royal Family.
However, they once had very different jobs. Kate Middleton was a fashion buyer for a high street chain.
Her role was part-time accessories buyer for Jigsaw Junior.
Meghan on the other hand had a successful career as an actress on cable drama Suits before her relationship with Prince Harry, 33, became serious.
However, she has left acting to become a full time royal by her husband’s side.
The Royal Family website writes on the Duchess of Cambridge’s page: “As well as undertaking royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the UK and overseas, The Duchess devotes her time to supporting a number of charities and organisations.”
The site says the exact same of the Duchess of Sussex.
But what are their actual job titles?
The two royal women do not often need to use their job titles, however, it is necessary for some paper work.
This includes a birth certificate. On the birth certificate for Prince Louis, Kate noted her occupation as “Princess of the United Kingdom”.
Now Meghan Markle will have the same job title as she is married to a prince.
Both women have titles that officially incorporate their husband’s titles.
Kate is officially known as “Catherine, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.”
Meghan Markle’s full title is Meghan, Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle’s bio on the Royal Family website has been changed recently.
It now reads: “After university Her Royal Highness worked as an actress, appearing in film and television.
“She most notably played the role of Rachel Zane on the series Suits for seven seasons, completing over 100 episodes.”
This tweak has added more details about her role on Suits and her career as an actress.
Meghan Markle’s wedding dress was reported to have been criticised by one of Kate’s favourite designers Emilia Wickstead.
However, the London-based fashion professional has hit out at the rumours on social media.
