Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a little cottage in Kensington Palace, but according to pals their lives as far more normal than most of us would expect.
Meghan Markle ‘s life changed forever the day she said ‘Yes’ and agreed to marry Prince Harry.
She went from being a top American actress living the Hollywood life with red carpet parties and Instagram-friendly holidays to a member of the Royal Family , attending official events on behalf of the Queen.
And while most probably believe being a princess means she’ll never have to lift a finger again, they couldn’t be more wrong.
According to her friends, Meghan and Harry don’t have a chef at their home and the mum-to-be does all the cooking herself.
The pals, who gave an anonymous interview to People magazine to defend Meghan against “global bullying” , said they’ve visited the couple’s Kensington Palace home.
They said it was “small” and “cozy”, and claims Meghan cooks for them “every single day”.
They also say Meghan does her own hair and make-up everyday, except her wedding day when she asked close pal Daniel Martin to do the honours.
One friend told the magazine: “People think when you come out of the car that you went through some metaphorical reverse car wash.
“Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo, and everyone’s doing all this stuff to you. They’re not picturing you sitting by the space heater doing your own hair and nails.
“There’s a false assumption that she lives in some gilded palace with staff and ladies-in-waiting and all these royal perks. It’s simply not true.”
The couple will be leaving their London home, just a few doors away from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, and moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor in the next few weeks.
