MEGHAN Markle is helping the Queen celebrate turning 92 tonight as the bride-to-be attended the monarch’s birthday extravaganza at the Royal Albert Hall. However pregnant Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was nowhere to be seen in the audience.
Queen Elizabeth II turned 92 today and a whole host of stars, including Tom Jones and Kylie Minogue, are helping the monarch celebrate.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were the first to arrive at the Royal Albert Hall for the Queen’s Birthday Party hosted by the BBC to mark the grand occasion.
Bride-to-be Meghan stunned in a navy cape dress and matching towering heels.
Prince William was also pictured arriving at the celebrations with Harry and Meghan, noticeably without his pregnant wife Kate, who is due to give birth imminently.
The Queen looked regal in a dazzling gold dress.
The birthday celebrations are taking place after a busy week for the Royal Family and the Queen in which she hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in London on Friday.
And the concert is reflecting this, with performances by artists from across the Commonwealth.
Music from each decade of the Queen’s reign has also been worked into the programme.
Viewers are enjoying performances by a whole array of singers including Sir Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Anne-Marie, Shawn Mendes, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, as well as a performance by Sting and Shaggy
Britain will also mark the longest-reigning monarch’s birthday with gun salutes in central London at midday, a 41 gun salute in Hyde Park, a 21 gun salute in Windsor Great Park and a 62 gun salute at the Tower of London.
The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year, her actual birthday on April 21 and her official birthday usually on the second Saturday in June.
