Kate Middleton recently attended the royal family’s Easter church service with Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge did a perfect curtsy when Queen Elizabeth II passed by in front of her.
A video of the mom of three doing the perfect curtsy was uploaded online via Instagram. In the video, a relaxed-looking Duchess of Cambridge bent down at the sight of the Queen, just like what the other female royals did when they saw Her Majesty.
Kate flawlessly bent her knees and smiled at the Queen, and she also bowed her head slightly. Myka Meier, a royal etiquette expert, previously explained how royal curtsies should be, and that’s exactly what Kate did on Sunday morning.
While speaking with People, Meier previously said that curtsying to the monarch should be done in a subtle manner. The deeper and longer the curtsy is, the more respect and formality it evokes. Meier said that the perfect curtsy could be done by placing one leg behind the other and bowing the head slightly while bending the knees.
Meanwhile, other than Sunday’s Easter church service, the royal family also celebrated an important occasion: the Queen’s 93rd birthday. In order to commemorate Her Majesty’s special day, the members of the royal family uploaded photos via their respective social media accounts.
Prince William and Kate greeted the monarch via Kensington Palace’s Instagram and Twitter accounts. The photo that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose to use for the Queen’s birthday featured Her Majesty standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Prince Philip, Kate, Prince Harry, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are also shown in the photo.
Prince Harry and Meghan, on the other hand, chose to commemorate the Queen’s birthday using more than one picture, starting off with a photo of the Queen taken from several years ago. The couple also uploaded an adorable throwback snap of the Queen with a young Prince William and Prince Harry.
Another touching photo uploaded on Sussex Royal’s Instagram account shows a doting Queen smiling from ear to ear while seeing her grandson, Prince Harry, on active military duty.
